Harvey Nussbaum

Harvey A. Nussbaum, Managing Partner of the Firm’s West Palm Beach, Florida office, has nearly three decades of substantial civil litigation experience in matrimonial, commercial, real estate and probate matters. Mr. Nussbaum also has extensive experience in post-judgment collection. He now concentrates his practice in the area of family law mediation and oversees the Litigation Practice Group at our West Palm Beach office.

Mr. Nussbaum has represented banking institutions, commercial businesses, realtors, developers, and homeowners’ associations in litigation in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. He has developed a significant family law practice handling over 1,000 family law cases before turning towards his current family law mediation practice. Mr. Nussbaum has lectured at Nova University before doctorate students on psychology and divorce law and the interactions between psychologists and attorneys in domestic relation cases. He is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Guardian Ad Litem in Broward County, and is certified by the American Psychological Association in divorce mediation.

Mr. Nussbaum is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri (B.A., Dean’s List, 1976) and from Nova Law School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (J.D., 1979) where he was a member of the Law Review.

Mr. Nussbaum is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit. He served as a Guardian Ad Litem in Broward County for 15 years, advocating for children on a pro bono basis. He has been an active member of the Boca Raton Anti-Defamation League Civil Rights Committee, the American Jewish Committee, Honorary Co-Chair of the “Help Stamp Out Hate Coalition”, and Chairman of the Committee on Decent and Unbiased Campaign Tactics for Palm Beach County. In addition, Mr. Nussbaum has been a Southeast Florida representative for the Washington University Alumni Parents Admission Program.
