A client’s growing business may benefit from economic development assistance. We represent borrowers in obtaining financing through federal, state and municipal agencies (e.g. the Job Development Authority, Small Business Administration and Industrial Development Agencies) which either make or guarantee mortgage loans and provide tax abatements and other incentives. Our experience and reputation in this area ensures that applications will be prepared and presented in a manner that will minimize delay and maximize the likelihood of success. We have experience with virtually all of the economic development agencies in Nassau and Suffolk counties. We have secured significant economic development packages for businesses ranging from manufacturing to technology. These packages include development incentives, real estate tax abatements, sales tax exemptions, mortgage tax exemptions and reduced power costs. We have represented clients in numerous IDA transactions including tax exempt bond financing and taxable sale/leaseback transactions.
