James E. Devine is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice group. Mr. Devine has extensive experience in commercial real estate leasing, commercial real estate transactions and secured financing, and has represented landlords, tenants, investors, developers, lenders, businesses and individuals in various transactions including the acquisition and disposition of office buildings, shopping centers and industrial properties, drafting and negotiation of leases for office, retail and industrial space, and real estate financings. In addition, Mr. Devine works closely with the firm’s Corporate practice group in the representation of businesses and individuals in connection with corporate sales, acquisitions and mergers, service, sales, purchase, leasing and distribution contracts, and shareholder and employee transactions.
Mr. Devine is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Devine is a graduate of Hofstra University (B.B.A. cum laude, 1992) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D. with distinction, 1995), where he was a member and officer of the Hofstra Law Review.
