
The Labor and Employment Department counsels employers and employees with respect to issues arising in the workplace. Mindful that a clear statement of rights and obligations can avoid potentially costly disputes, our services include negotiating and drafting employment, termination, severance, confidentiality and non-compete agreements. We assist our clients in formulating internal practices and policies and in preparing employment manuals. We also handle litigation arising from non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and employment claims in state and federal court and before administrative agencies, including claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Age Discrimination Employment Act, The Family and Medical Leave Act, The Pregnancy Discrimination Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. We also represent clients in the defense and prosecution of compensation, bonus, severance and/or benefit claims.
